Area description

Nerja is by far the nicest town on the eastern Cost del Sol. Nerja has grown rapidly, yet has escaped the excesses of ugly high rise buildings that disfigfure much of the Costa. The weather is very sunny and temperate as Nerja lies on a plain almost surrounded by the Almijara and Alpujarra Sierras. It is perfectly possible to ski on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada in the morning, and sunbathe on the Nerja beaches in the afternoon. In old Nerja,narrow streets lie between white walled houses, their balconies full of Geraniums.. Restaurants and tapas bars are everywhere, and all tastes are catered for, from Andalucian to Indian, Mexican and even Greek. The white villages of Frigiliana, Torrox Pueblo, Canillas de Albaida and Competa are all nearby and all worth a visit. All have their fiestas and Saints' days when colourful flamenco dresses are worn. Semana Santa (Easter) is celebrated in all the towns and villages with solemn Processions.Malaga's Semana Santa celebrations are world famous. Nerja has numerous amenities, restaurants, shops and the world famous Balcon De Europe. St. Isidro offers a spectacular procession from the centre of Nerja to Maro on May 15th. There are horse drawn floats and carriages, magnificient riders on magnificient horses, and the girls and women, and many men, wear splendid Fiesta outfits.

This beautiful moorish style 3 bedroom villa is on the wonderful Casablanca urbinisation Punta Lara, Nerja, Costa Del Sol . The accommodation is on 3 levels with a huge south facing terrace with garden furniture that seats 12 and both a gas and brick BBQ. The terrace is 126 square metres and its own private pool measuring 8 X 4 Metres This beautiful Villa also benefits from a large roof terrace. The villa has a modern kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you would need for a short or long term stay including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge /freezer, microwave and electric cooker. In addition, the villa boasts three spacious bedrooms each with its own en suite bathroom and the main bedroom has its own balcony. The villa has a very large sitting room (equipped with satellite TV) and separate dining room . Guests can choose to relax and soak up the sun on the large ground floor terrace or the first floor south facing terrace or the roof terrace, which enjoys 360 degree panoramic and stunning views of the surrounding sea and mountains. As well as the private pool the urbinisation also has a fabulous community pool 50 yards away, which is solely for the residents on this small urbinisation and is therefore never crowded open from May to October. All linen and towels (except beach towels) are also provided and the villa is equipped with washing machine, If you hire a car parking is available right outside the property. Car hire, scooter hire and airport pickup can be arranged. The villa is 800mtrs from Playa Playazo , which it overlooks, from where you can go for a stroll and discover a number of chiringuitos and sample the delights of the Spanish cuisine and the wonderful, but yet inexpensive, local vino. This is a beautiful 20 minute stroll along the waters edge whilst soaking up the fantastic Costa Del Sol sun. Playa Playazo links directly to the beautiful Playa Torrecilla and Nerja town. Nerja has numerous amenities, restaurants, shops and the world famous Balcon De Europe.
